Upstormed Records announced the release of Jonathan Burkett’s debut EP, “Life as I know it.” The record was inspired by Burkett’s own struggles to forge a path in life, including time spent living on the streets at fourteen years old. Life as I know it, features a number of Hip Hop and Rap collaborations with some of the most popular new acts in Florida.

 

“’Life as I know it,’ is about never given up no matter the fight, and understanding that life is a challenge for all of us. So when things get rough, don’t give up because we all only have one chance to live life. Its about being yourself, and putting yourself on the right path, too many of us end up on the wrong path, following the wrong crowd and direction in life. Just because someone says you can’t accomplish something, or amount to something, doesn’t mean you can’t accomplish it. For me this comes from a personal place having been homeless and turning to music, friends and positive influences to make my dreams come true.” Said artist Jonathan Burkett

Jonathan Burkett is a recording artist, author, screenwriter, and poet, from Miramar, Florida.
